Jakarta – PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) and PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP) Persero, are continuing to cooperate in the construction of a ferronickel smelter project in Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
This time, Ceria and PT PP signed a development cooperation agreement.
Ferronickel Smelter Phase 2 (Production Line 2) and Phase 4 (Production Line 5 and 6), in the Lapaopao Block in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.
This signing was carried out by President Director of PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama, Derian Sakmiwata, with the Head of EPC Division of PT PP, Nurlistyo Hadi, at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama Office, Jakarta, Friday (20/11/2020).
Also attending the event were the President Director of the Company, Novel Arsyad, the Director of Operation 3 of the Company, Eddy Herman Harun and Legal Corporate Ceria Aulia Wiratama.
The project has a contract value of Rp 1.01 trillion for the work of Phase 2 (Production Line 2) and IDR 2.21 Trillion for Phase 4 work (Production Line 5 and 6). The work Implementation period is 26 (twenty six) months for Production Line 2 work and 34 (thirty four) months for Production Line 5 and 6.
Ceria President Director Derian Sakmiwata appreciates the continued cooperation of the two parties in order to accelerate the infrastructure of PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama’s ferronickel smelter.
As a leading state-owned company in Indonesia, PT PP has shown its role in supporting the advancement of domestic industries, including Ceria smelter industry.
“We really appreciate the support of PT PP. We hope that this cooperation will further strengthen the competitiveness of domestic industries, including Ceria, which is currently building a ferronickel smelter,” said Derian.
Derian revealed that currently Ceria’s smelter is being prepared as a National Strategic Project (PSN) launched by President Joko Widodo.
Through this cooperation and support from PT PP, Derian said, the downstream of nickel could be accelerated.
PT PP Managing Director Novel Arsyad enthusiastically welcomes this collaboration and fully supports the construction of the PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama Ferronickel smelter.
After successfully being trusted to work on Phase 1 for Production Line 1, together with China ENFI Engineering Corporation (ENFI) for the Engineering design, PT PP was again given the trust by Ceria to work on the construction of Phase 2 (Production Line 2) and Phase 4 (Production Line 5 and 6) of the Ferronickel smelters.
“We express our gratitude for the trust given by Ceria to build the project. Armed with the experience and quality of work owned by the Company, we are confident that we can complete the construction work according to the targeted time, “said Novel.
According to Novel, the project that is being developed by Ceria is very strategic for the long-term national interest.
“This project is very relevant to national goals, one of which is preparing strategic infrastructure. As a state-owned company that focuses on this program, PT PP hopes that in the future this project will not only have an impact on business and economic aspects but also there are transfer of knowledge in it,” he added.
